Shubham Singh’s newly directed film, Penalty is releasing on 19th July 2019. Penalty is a film about a young, talented northeast Indian football player, Lukram. The 21-year-old footballer is seen fighting all sorts of negative backlashes and racial discrimination in the film to achieve his dreams.

Racism is something which is prevailing around the world where people are facing discrimination, just not been seen or accepted overtly. Racial discrimination is rooted in North-east India since years. These incidences inspired the debutant director, Shubham Singh to speak up at front line through cinemas.

Shubham Singh quoted, “Penalty is like a baby to me and I’ve nurtured it with all love and respect so that I can take this topic to the mass and create a benchmark by speaking of this topic.”

The film is under the banner of Rudrakshh Films and produced by Nilesh Shakhiya, Ritu Shrivastava & Aditya Shrivastava and is written by Akhilesh Choudhary & Sparsh Khetrapal.

The film has star-casts like Kay Kay Menon, Shashank Arora, Manjot Singh, Lukram Smil, Srishti Jain, Vinay Shrivastava, Aakash Dabhade, Bijou Thaangjam & Raghav Jhingran.
